Solo training demands monk-like discipline. Giant bootcamps deliver energy but zero personal attention. Small-group training — four to eight people with one coach — sits in the sweet spot, and it is where we see our most consistent transformations. Two reasons explain why.
1. Accountability you can feel
In a group of six, the coach knows your name, your weights and your excuses. Miss a session and three people text you — the coach, plus the two training partners who saved you a spot. Research on exercise adherence keeps finding the same thing: social commitment beats motivation, because motivation negotiates and commitment just shows up.
Our groups cap at eight for exactly this reason. Everyone gets coached on every lift, and nobody hides in the back row — there is no back row.
2. Friendly competition raises every ceiling
You will hold a plank ten seconds longer when the person next to you is still holding theirs. You will add the extra 2.5kg when you watched your partner do it last week. This is not rivalry — it is borrowed belief, and it compounds session after session.
The trick is matching groups by level so nobody feels left behind or held back. We reassess every six weeks and regroup as people progress at their own pace.
Half the price of 1-to-1 coaching, twice the attendance rate of solo training — small groups are the best value in fitness.
